Meteorologist Has Win (New Zealana Press Association) , GORE, February 14. Second to Treasure Pond in the Gore Cup the previous week and consistently placed in important races this season. Meteorologist scored his first success since last August by winning the main event on the second day of the Gore Racing Club’s summer meeting yesterday. The strongly-fancied Cattiva won the open sprint to complete the double, which paid £l7 15s 6d for £l.

The meeting was concluded in fine, warm weather, with the track hard and fist. There was a fair attendance. The totalisator hahdled £28,353 10s, compared with £30.080 on the second day last year.
