Voroshilov 111, Cancels Trip
NEW DELHI, February 15. The President of the Soviet Union (Mr Voroshilov) is ill and has cancelled his proposed State visit to India, it was officially announced in New Delhi today. Mr Voroshilov was due to arrive in India on February 24. The Foreign Ministry released a copy of a press note, issued in Moscow, regretting President Voroshilov’s inability to visit India owing to illness. It did not specify the nature or the seriousness of his illness. The press release, quoting a Moscow announcement, said that a delegation of members of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet and ministers would visit India instead.
