RICCARTON HIGH SCHOOL
Classroom Block Additions The Education Department has advised the interim board of governors of the Riccarton High School that a request for an additional classroom block to be two-storeyed, instead of the planned single storey, will be considered.
The headmaster (Mr A. J. Gainsford) told the board last evening that the suggestion had been made to the department to avoid encroachment by buildings on the valuable playground area. Mr Gainsford said that' 257 new pupils had been enrolled, and the school would open with a roll of 380.
