POST-PRIMARY SCHOOLS
Discussion On Sites For Future
Mr K. Oldfield, executive officer for buildings, of the head oMce of the Education Department, will visit Christchurch next month to discuss with officers of the Ministry of Works a site for a future post-primary school in the northern suburbs.
“We should take the opportunity of discussing future sites generally,” said Mr W. J. Cartwright, chairman of the Christchurch Post-primary Schools* Council, last evening, when the council was advised of the visit. “It is becoming an urgent matter,” Mr Cartwright said. “We must start looking for sites almost immediately. If we can, we should have a round-table discussion with Mr Oldfield to get the department’s views.”
