Town Flooded By Dam-Burst
(Bee. 12.10 a.m.) . BRISBANE, January 22. i 100 million-gallon dam burst and flooded Stanthorpe, 150 miles south-west of Brio- . bane, today. It caused thousands of pounds of property and stock losses. Last night np to Tin of rain deluged the headwaters of the dam, live miles from Stanthorpe. Today the dam. 30ft high and 50yds wide, collapsed under pressure. Water flooded into the township and swept through a ease-making factory. One family fled to higher ground.
