Linesman Injured In Fall
(New Zeaiana Press Association) NAPIER, January 21. A Municipal Electricity Department linesman was seriously injured when he fell more than 25 feet from a ladder at the intersection of Macdonald street and Kennedy road, Napier, at 2 p.m., today. The man, James McCabe, aged
25, single, of Napier, suffered an electric shock while cutting fronds from a palm tree. One of the fronds was thought to have crossed power lines running near the tree.
Nearby residents heard a shout, and rushed outside to see Mr McCabe fall from the top of the lad der to the footpath. Mr McCabe was admitted to the Napier Public Hospital with suspected fractures oOhe left arm and leg. His condition is serious.
