MISSIONARY WAS ERIME MINISTER
Mr Garfield Todd To Visit Nelson (New Zealand Press Association) N3LSON, January 21 Congregations at Church ot Christ services at Nelson on Sunday will hear a sermon by a New Zealand missionary who became Prime Minister of Southern Rho’desia. He is Mr R. S. Garfield Todd, mission superintendent in Southern Rhodesia for 20 yearn, and Prime Minister there from 1953 to 1958.
Mr Todd went to Rhodesia 25 years ago as- a misaianarar at the only ,N6w. Zealand: mission in Africa, the Churches of Christ mission, near Bulawayo. There are at present 10 New Zealanders serving there.
