HOW TO GET THERE
A large crowd is expected at Wigram on Saturday, and the Motor Racing Club has made full arrangements, with the co-opera-tion of the Transport Department, to handle the volume of traffic. Motorists travelling south towards the aerodrome, along Rlccarton and Blenheim roads, are asked to turn to the left across the Sockburn railway crossing to go in through the Vickerys road entrance, which will be manned by 12 gate-keepers. This is the largest entrance to the circuit and can handle several lanes of traffic at a time.
Those coming from the south will enter through the main gate to the aerodrome, on the Main! South road, while motorists from the south-east (Lincoln road) will I use the Middle Lincoln road en-| trance, which gives-access to the back straight. People going to the races.by bus or on foot will go in through the entrance in Symes road. The gate-keepers 'will again be volunteers from the Papanui U.S.A., organised by Mr C. McIver. To prevent people from entering other than through the official gates, strong patrols along the boundary fences have been organised. The patrols, with the help of officers of the Transport Department, will ensure that cars are not left parked on roadsides where they could be obstructions if a fire occurred.
