Commercial Manager Appointed
(New Zeatana Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 15. Mr F G. Culling was today appointed commercial manager in the Railways Department He succeeds Mr J. R. Barker, who will retire next month after 40 years’ service For the last year Mr Culling has been assistant commercial manager in Wellington. He joined the Railways Department in 1921. After service in various South Island stations and experience in the commercial field he served as commercial agent at Invercargill and Dunedin before coming to Wellington. Mr Barker served mainly tn the North Island, and from 1944 until his appointment as commercial manager in 1953 was commercial agent at Auckland.
