Obituary MR C. J. L. McCREE
Mr Charles Jeffrey Llanisillin McCree died this week, aged 59. He had been assistant registrar at the Land and Deeds Registry since August, 1935. Mr McCree was born in Christchurch and was educated at the New Brighton Primary School and the Christchurch West High School. In September, 1915, he entered the Land and Deeds Registry as a cadet, and, apart from relieving in Hokitika and Wellington on occasions all his service was in Christchurch. For 21 years Mr McCree was a returning officer, first for the Christchurch East electorate, and later for Christchurch Central Mr McCree was a keen amateur photographer, and was also very interested in music. For some years he conducted his own pri-. vate orchestra. . He is survived by his wife, a son and a daughter.
