TALKS WITH EGYPT
New Differences Arise
(Rec. 11 p.m.) CAIRO, January 14 The president of the World Bank and mediator in the financial talks between Britain and Egypt, Mr Eugene Black, will fly to London tomorrow. He had a surprise midnight meeting with Sir Denis Rickett, the leader ot the British delegation, after both men had met the United Arab Republic’s Milnster of Economy and the chief Egyptian delegate. Dr. Abdel Moneim el Kaissuny, for joint discussions. Sir Denis Rickett had earlier consulted London.
Egyptian sources said that at the joint meeting agreement was reached over points at dispute between the two sides, in the attempt- to end financial differences resulting from the Suez crisis.
Egyptian financial quarters said differences had arisen over some “big British firms.” Dr. Kaissuny said the talks would continue today. “We should not be either overoptimistic or over-pessimistic,” he said.
