FARM SETTLEMENT BALLOT
Nine Applications Received
Nine applications were received by the Commissioner of Crown Lands, Christchurch, at noon yesterday , for two irrigated sheep sections in the Hinds Farm Settlement. Situated about three miles north-west of Hinds township and 15 miles west of Ashburton, the two sections are of approximately 400 acres, each with an estimated carrying capacity of 1200 ewes. Each section contains a new house. The ballot, for former servicemen and civilians, will be held at Timaru on January 20,
