MAGISTRATE’S COURT
TUESDAY (Before Messrs S. F. Marshall, J.P., and W. W. Laing, J.P.) FORGERY ALLEGED A 25-year-old freezing worker, whose name was suppressed, was remanded to January 19 when he appeared on a charge of forgery. Bail was allowed in the sum pf £25, with a surety of £25, and the accused was ordered to report daily to the police. FALSE PRETENCES ALLEGED Mary Isabella Christina Tewehi, aged 53, a domestic, charged with obtaining £5 4s in cash and £1 Ife in groceries from John Dickson at Christchurch on November 17 last by means of- false pretences, was remanded to January 19. The accused did not seek bail.
