Prince Still Best At Geography
(N.Z. Press Association—CoppripM) LONDON, Dec. 9. It was the Duke of Edinburgh who collected an on-the-spot report about the rince of Wales’s progress at Cheam School, according to the “Daily Mail” diarist. Earlier it was thought the Quec.i would visit the school, but she remained at Highclere Castle with their week-end host, the Earl of Carnarvon, while the Duke drove to the school for a chat with the headmaster (Mr Peter Beck). The Duke arrived at the wheel of his powerful black Lagonda and stayed for an hour. At midday the car swung out into the main road again—this time with Prince Charles in the back.
The “News Chronicle” diarist said the Duke learned that the Prince’s best subject was still geography. In this he came top of the form last term. At maths, however, he was struggling without a great deal of success.
