OVERSEAS LEAGUE PARTY
150 Members And Friends The familiar figure of Father Christmas handed gifts to executive members of the Overseas League at the league’s Christmas party held in the clubrooms last evening. About 150 members and friends were welcomed by the president (Mr W. S. Mac Gibbon) and Mrs Mac Gibbon, who wore a chic black cocktail dress-and-jacket ensemble with a swathed bodice trimmed with clusters of metallic sequins. Buffet tables placed round the room were decorated with attractive centre-pieces comprised of candles, wound with gold ribbon, silver bells, cones and cellophane. Vases of summer flowers, mainly in red and white, with greenery were arranged by Mrs J. E. Carr. Tempting savouries and cocktail snacks were made by Mrs I. Mackenzie with the help of the women’s committee.
