Hard of Hearing League.—Mrs L. S. Birdling, the senior teacher at the Christchurch branch of the League for the Hard of Hearing welcomed about 50 guests to the Christmas party held in the league’s Gloucester street rooms recently. Entertainment was given by Mrs N. Sherris and Miss B. Batstone, who sang and led the carol singing. Specially-invited guests included Mrs M. Leonard, Misses E. M. Ash and E. Jennings and Sister Francis.
