Garage Destroyed By Fire
A rubbish fire yesterday morning damaged the rear wall of a garage at 79 Frankleigh street, owned by Mr W. Lorrimer. Units from the Central and Sydenham stations of the Christchurch Fire Brigade were called at 9.59 a.m. One unit from St Albans was called to an electric oven fire at Mr H. L. Mehlhopt’s house at 58 Lambeth crescent at 12.31 p.m. There was no damage.
