(New Zeaiana Press Association)
AUCKLAND, December 10. Two young Londoners, Mr and Mrs James Jenkins, wanted to emigrate to New Zealand so badly that they refused to be daunted when told they would have to wait 18 months for a sea passage. Instead, they started studying maps and travel books, and ended up by making the journey overland by motor-cycle and sideear. Today, a year and four months after leaving London, the couple arrived in Auckland complete with their motor-cycle and Sidecar in the liner Wanganella. A tew hours after landing they were on the road once more—bound for their New Zealand destination. New Plymouth. After 21.000 miles of motorcycling, travel has got into their blood. “After we have been here a year or so we may go on to i? pa ?' «hd then Africa.” Mr Jenkins said. "Having got half-way round the
world by motor-bike we think we 1 might as well do the other half, o too. But that will depend finally f on my wife, Anne. If she changes 1 her mind and says ’No,’ then we o stay put in New Zealand.’’
