I Terms Of Lease Discussed B A sub-committee of the City has been appointed to the terms of lease of the transit housing settleto the United States expedition, and to nego--s»tiate the rental rate a square foot. •-The finance committee recom7*nended to the council last evenJJing that surplus funds from the housing camp should be Allocated towards pensioners* jcottages. \ The housing committee reported w4hat if 62 flats were available by fithe middle of next year the immediate needs fßvould be met. At present 48 flats Jwere vacant and another 14 would available within the required period. It would be necessary to i.;have some rearrangement of pen ants to free the section to the Americans. J. Internal alterations and external maintenance of the buildings be the responsibility of the States forces. A fence £would be built to separate the ; r *rea occupied by the Americans £*rom the rest of the settlement.
