Maori Village Improved
Tourists from the Matson liner Mariposa who visited Rotorua last week were full of praise for Whakarewarewa, said the New Zealand manager for Matson Lines (Mr M. Lurie) in Auckland. Praising the efforts that had been made to improve the appearance of the Maori village since criticism of it recently, Mr Lurie said: "It looks far better now. In future, our American tour parties will be spending considerably more time there."— (P.A.)
