Sir, —Anyone who has been to China and experienced the feeling of comradeship amongst the people, and their urge to lift up their living standards will be’saddened by the sort of article that appeared in the press from the mouth of Dulles. Just as I have! become aware that anything Dulles says is contrary to fact.,l that when he says something is white, then I know that it is black, and vice versa, and that m i fact he stands against progressive; thought and decent thinking. What lan illadvised country the United! [States is! First Korea, then the! I Lebanon, now Taiwan. Thousands! of Americans also see that this is. the case, but they can only voice their disgust in the face of the fait accompli, and then after that! the dehigc. Perhaps Dulles is' afraid that no country will be able to compete with the socialist, countries if the latter are allowed 1 , jto develop their economies in (peace.—Yours, etc.. P. J.
