, Indecent Assault On Young Girl i j (New Zealand Press Association) PALMERSTON N., Nov. 18. Accused had plunged into the depths of depravity, and his perf version persisted for a long period, Mr D. G. Sinclair. S.M.. said in the Magistrate’s Court at Palmerston North today, when he sentenced Thomas Henry Cundle. aged 45. a former railway employee. to a total of six years’ imprisonment on six charges of indecent assault on a young girl. “Society demands that he be removed for a long period—that I is. if I interpret the opinions of society correctly.” ho added. I When the Magistrate announced j the sentence, Cundle collapsed to itho floor of the dock and was later removed by a party of detedives. Cundle was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment on each of the first two charges, the terms to be cumulative, and to three years’ imprisonment nn each of the remaining four charges, the terms to be coneurrent with the first two sentences.
