Mr L. M. Denton New President
Mr L. M. Denton was elected president of the Canterbury Trotting Owners’ and Breeders’ Association at the annual meeting of the association last evening. Mr Denton succeeds Mr H. W. Drewery, who did not seek re-elec-tion. Tributes to the work of Mr Drewery during his seven years as president were paid by Mr Denton, who made a presentation to him on behalf of the associal> tion. i The following officers were elected: — Patron, Mr C. S. Thomas; president, Mr L. M. Denton; immediate past president, Mr H. W. Drewery; vice-presidents, Messrs W. E. Desmond, B. J. Wilks, H. Murphy. J Palmer, D. Rodgers, F. E. Sutton, A. H. Todd; committee. Messrs M. Andrews, F. S. Ball, A. Chinnery, W. G. Deyell, T. Gifford. R. A. Hamilton. E. T. Hubbard. V Leeming. A. V. le Roi, A. R. McKenzie. N. Matyasevic. C. L. Rhodes. H. B.
