Campaign For TV In N.Z.
(Neu? Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. November 12. A society to campaign for the establishment of television services in New Zealand was constituted at a meeting of television, radio and photographic enthusiasts in Auckland. The society is to be known as the Television Society of New Zealand. The president. Mr N. R. White, told about 50 persons that a national organisation was envisaged. It was stated from the body of the hall that licences were expected to be issued in other parts of the country shortly.
