BULLER TITLES DECIDED
(From Our Own Reporter) WESTPORT, October 27. Two brothers won two of the three men’s titles at the Buller golf championships, which were concluded at Westport today. R. S. Wakefield, of Timaru, beat R. Harsamp, of Murchison, 2 and 1, in the senior men’s championship, and in the junior grade J., Wakefield, of Westport, beat N. Davy, of Greymouth, 2 and 1. In the intermediate men’s final, I. Nottle beat C. Schadick, jun., 1 up. In the senior women's final, Mrs G. Crossman, Reef ton, beat Mrs J. Woodward, Westport, 5 and 4. The junior women’s final was won by Miss E. Mace, Nelson, who beat Mrs A. Wood, Westport, 1 up. There was a record nomination of 72 outside players at the tournament, which was slightly marred by drizzling rain throughout the three days.
