Parker Beaten By Emerson CN.Z Press Association—Copyrlahtl BRISBANE. October 26. The New Zealand tennis player. C. Parker, was eliminated from the Queensland singles championship today after a hard tussle with R. Emerson. After winning the first set 8-0,
Emerson appeared to ease off slightly. Parker took his chance and won the second’ set. 7-5. The crowd admired the New Zealander’s tenacious display, when he simply would not give up in the third set. Emerson took the third set 9-7, to complete what was by far the hardest of the third round matches any of the leading Australians played yesterday. The Davis Cup squad members all won their matches.
