RACING DRIVER MARRIED
Ceremony In Convent Chapel (N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) PAVIA (Northern Italy), October 24. Tony Brooks, the British racing driver, today married lovely Pina Rosegotti, the 24-year-old Italian fashion model, in a private chapel which was draped in red velvet and banked with carnations. Up to this morning the bride and bridegroom kept the place of the wedding a secret. The bride wore a short white satin dress made by Dior, with a lace veil. Newspapermen were forbidden to enter the chapel, and a reporter , discovered inside was ordered to leave. The tiny chapel was of the Ursuline Sisterhood—a 400-year-old nursing order. Friends of the couple said that after the wedding reception in Pavia the couple would honeymoon in Sicily. Later Brooks will take his bride to Manchester where he practises as a dentist.
