No Settlement In Bridge Strike
(New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND. September 26.
No settlement was reported today in the strike • of 180 labourers’ union men employed on the Auckland harbour bridge project. The men decided this morning to continue the strike and then adjourned the meeting till Monday morning.
The strike, which began on Wednesday morning, is over payment of danger and height money to a small section of workers employed' moving formwork for the concrete deck of the bridge.
