WAR GRAVES IN EGYPT
N.Z. Bishop’s Visit Not Permitted SYDNEY, September 25. The Bishop of Aotearoa, the Rl. Rev. W.' N. Panapa, said in Sydney yesterday that he had been refused permission to visit New Zealand war graves in Egypt. Bishop Panapa arrived in the Orontes on his way back to New Zealand after attending the Lambeth conference. He said he had found war . graves excellently kept in France and Italy. He had wanted to visit New Zealand graves in Egypt as a mark of respect and to ensure that they were ip good order but the Egyptian Ambassador in Rome had, without giving a reason, refused him a visa.
