RICCARTON HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY’S SPRING SHOW

A record entry of 102 in the children’s section showed much promise for the future of the Riccarton Horticultural and-Beautifying Society, which held its spring flower show recently. Entries .and standard were good in all sections. Special cups and trophies were won as follows:

Most points in amateur daffodils. Miss G. Hegarty; most points in novice daffodils, Mrs W. J. McStay; most points in cut blooms, Mrs E. W. Archbold; most points in open decorative, Mrs W. J. McStay; most points in novice decorative, Miss lanora Shaw; most points in spring show, Miss G. Hegarty; most points in vegetables, J. Christian; most points in children’s flower section under 9 years, Jocelyn Duns; most points in children’s flower section 9 years and under 12 years.
