Forecast:— Inland Marlborough and Nelson: West to south-west winds, fresh to strong at times in exposed places; otherwise moderate weather; fair and cold. West Coast: Moderate to fresh south-west winds; weather cold and changeable, with showers and fair periods. Kaikoura coast and Canterbury: Moderate southerlies: some wintry showers persisting about inland Canterbury and Banks Peninsula, but the weather elsewhere fine; temperatures cold. Outlook: fair.
