Smoke Nuisance
Sir, —Very few persons light household fires in Christchurch even in winter for alLday warmth, and in summer, autumn, I or spring, seldom till evening,. preferring heaters, requiring less attention. Daily trash and trade waste is consumed in backyard tins, contributory towards general sunshine elimination, local acrid stench and nuisance, regardless of the health hazard of those in close vicinity, or others in the community.—Yours, etc., CIVIC SPIRIT.
