20 Injured In Bus Smash
(Rec. 9 p.m.) SYDNEY, September 24. About 20 persons were injured when a semi-trailer truck careered out of control into three buses in peak-hour traffic at North Syd ney this morning. One of the injured, an 18-year-old youth, lay trapped in twisted metal for 20 minutes while police and civilians tried desperately to free him. Both the youth’s legs were broken. The accident occurred when the air brakes on the semi-trailer failed on the approach to the harbour bridge.
