HUSBAND AND WIFE ARRESTED
Four Breaking And Entering Charges
(New Zealand Press Association) WANGANUI, Sept. 23.
Arrested last night in Raetihi after being apprehended on the premises of Raetihi Hardware. Ltd., Alan Francis Hessell, aged 22, a railwayman, of Beach road. Whangaehu, and his wife, Valma Kathleen Hessell, aged 21, appeared before Mr S. S. Preston, S.M., in the Magistrate’s Court today. Hessell faced three charges of breaking and entering and one of car conversion. His wife faced one charge of breaking and entering.
They were remanded until Tuesday, the police stating that further charges were pending.
