State House Rentals

Sir, —I notice that A.FP. takes “RA..D.A.R.” to task on the matter of rent charges. Quite a large number of tenants will have to And more than £25 a year for increased rent charges. I have yet to -find where in the Labour Party election policy they said they would give effect to an increase in State rentals or that they would increase taxation in the way they have done since their return to power. When Mr Skinner spoke in his final election broadcast address to the people he made reference to increased rents for State tenants and assured them that the State housing accounts were in quite a good position. No mention was made then of increasing the rents.—Yours, etc., , RADAR. September 9, 1958.
