Municipal Baths
Sir,—After an overseas tour in which I visited several beautiful public swimming baths I have come to the conclusion that our own pool here in Christchurch rates among the finest in the world. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for the buildings. Could .you inform me why the underwater viewports have been closed to the public. These ports overseas are often a major attraction to the public and of use to swimming coaches. They were, built at considerable public expense and yet we are now denied the pleasure of their use.—Yours,
