Passports Lost In Fire

(New Zealand Press Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, Sept. 7. Fire gutted a hut near the Chateau Tongariro on Mt. Ruapehu on Friday destroying the entire personal belongings of the two occupiers, who were away at the' time. They are two young chairlift operators, one Swiss, the other French, and their losses included their passports. The fire was well alight when the alarm was given and chemical extinguishers and fire hoses failed to hold it.
