MISSIONARY TO PAKISTAN
Service For Miss D. McKessar
"This makes us fell ashamed of our easy lives,” said the Rev. Roland Hart when he presided at the. farewell service to Miss Dorothy McKessar in the Oxford Terrace Church on Wednesday evening.
Miss McKessar, the daughter of Mr and Mrs G. E. McKessar, of St. Albans, will return to East Pakistan as a missionary with the New Zealand Baptist Missionary Society. She spoke of the difficulties of missionary work in the greatest Moslem State in the world.
Floral tributes were presented by Miss Anne Little of the Baptist Bible Class Union and by Mrs Leatham, president of the Canterbury Baptist Women’s Missionary Union, who also presented a gift. A man bag of letters was handed over by Mrs E. R. Clark, secretary of the missionary committee of tile Baptist Association. A monetary gift from the Baptist churches of the city *was presented to Miss McKessar by Mr Hart
