Vacancy Filled
(New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 7. The appointment to the National Historic Places Trust of Mr Kenneth Hector Melvin, of Clive, has been announced by the Minister of Internal Affairs (Mr Anderton). This appointment is to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Mrs Ruth Allen, and is for the remainder of the term for which she was appointed—until March 31, 1960, said the Minister.
