Production Of / Aircraft
LONDON, September 8. Commonwealth airline operators and representatives of British aircraft manufacturing companies and of the Ministry of Supply had held meetings in London to discuss the outline of a plan for bringing Commonwealth airlines into discussions when future civil aircraft are about to be produced, “The Times” reported today.
The newspaper said that the plan arose from the belief of some Commonwealth airlines that the British industry was nt present inclined to design aircraft to meet the specific needs of 8.0-A.C. and British European Airways. Such aircraft might not meet the needs ot Commonwealth airlines.
