BORNEO “BLUE BABY” CURED
LONDON. After an 8000 miles flight' from Borneo to Britain about three months ago for a “blue baby” operation, an eleven-year-old girl has gone home with every prospect of leading a normal life. . Manjit Kaur, daughter of the Assistant State Electrical Engineer in Brunei, North Borneo, was flown to the Dundee Royal Infirmary at the end of May. She had had heart trouble from birth, but after the’ operation a month ago doctors said she had recovered very well. Man jit went to the Dundee Hospital as an indirect result of a visit to Brunei two years ago by Professor lan Hill of the chair of medicine, St.' Andrew’s University, who was on a Far East tour.
