Play In Oamaru This Month
(New Zealand Presi Association) OAM ARD, August 31., The 1958 New Zealand squash rackets championship will begin at Oamaru on Septemb<fc6. Thirty-two entries have been received for the men’s singles and (nine for the women’s singles, players from Hamilton to Invercargill competing, as well as the four members of the Australian men’s tevn, which is on a Dominion totir. In the men’s singles, the seeded players are D. D. Ifochan (Napier), F. N. Coe (Timaru)? D. G. Green (Dunedin), A. M. Johns (Palmerston North), and the Augralians, R. Boys, J. Cheadle, B. Stuart, and V. Toohey. Mochan is the present holder of the title, and Coe was the runnerup last year. Boysis a former Australian amateur and open’ champion. The seeded players in the women’s singles are Missa A. Mackenzie (Oamaru), B. Patterson (Hamilton), N. Farmer (Invercargill), and J. Burmeister (Hamigon).
