CHURCH YOUTH RALLIES
Series Of Five This Month
With the theme of ‘‘Christian Living” five youth rallies organised by the regional youth committee of the National Council of Churches will be held in Christchurch on four successive Saturday evenings this month. “It is vital for the life of the Christian Church today that young Christians should come together and so foster a greater link of common interests, love and sympathy,” said a statement from the council. The climax of the rallies, each of which will be addressed by the Vicar General of Christchurch (the Very Rev. Martin Sullivan), will be a combined service in Christchurch Cathedral on October 5, World Communion Sunday. The five rallies will cover all areas of the city. The statement said that the programmes have been designed to give help as well as pleasure to those who attend and will in-
elude singing, films and fellowship. The youth groups of all member churches of the council have been informed of the plans.
