COMMERCIAL Fairly Firm Tone In Trading Yesterday
There was a fairly firm tone about business transacted or reported on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday. Gains of 3d were made by Hays Ltd., to sell at 24s and New Zealand Newspapers to trade at 38s fid, and Ampol notes were up by a -similar figure in a sale at 8s Bd. Only decline in the day’s trading was Canterbury Farmers Co-operative Association which eased by a further Is 6d to 52s fid.
