Lake Lyndon Trout
Sir, —Your newspaper reported this morning part of a paper on rainbow trout in Lake Lyndon presented to the Royal Society of New Zealand, Canterbury branch, and said that: “Because of the high rate of evaporation, the lake was only half-full of water every March." What was said to the .society was that the lake was estimated to be half-full in June, 1950. and. that usually. In March, the water level was low.—Yours, etc., E. PERCIVAL. August 7. 1958.
