Cyclists Die Of Sunstroke
(N.Z. Press Association—Copyright) (Rec. 8 p.m.) LISBON, Aug.' 5. Two Spanish cyclists died of sunstroke in the first leg of the Portugal cycle tour, it was off-
cially announced today at Lisbon.
Raul Motos, aged 25, of Madrid, died instantly after finishing the leg between Lisbon and Alpiarca. Joaquin Polo, aged 20, of Talapera de la Reinawn, died later in the Santarem Hospital. The race was run under a blazing sun in 96deg Fahrenheit. Villagers along the route poured water on the 75 cyclists.
