Tobacco Smoke
Sir,—Dr. Stocks reports in England, after five years' research, “that the connexion between beer drinking and lung cancer might be due to the fact that most daily beer drinkers spent much time in an atmosphere laden with tobacco smoke,, even though they smoked few or’no cigarettes themselves.” Should this not awaken some thought of responsibility toward non-smokers in dining rooms, buses, and public places?->-Yours, etc., ROOT CAUSES. July 2, 1958.
