SOCIAL SECURITY OFFENCES
Heavy Fine For Contractor (blew Zealand Press Association) NAPIER, July 3. A Taradale earth-moving contractor, Harold Tolley, was fined a total of £175, and ordered to pay costs of £6, the solicitor’s fees of £l5 15s, when he appeared for sentence in the Napier Magistrate’s Court today on four charges of failing to account for Social Security charges totalling £lB7 7s 3d, which had been deducted from his employees’ wages Fines were imposed on three charges On the fourth, Tolley was released on probation for 18 months by Mr W. A. Harlow, S.M.
