Bulk Shipping Approved (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, July 3. The directors of Wilson’s (N.Z.» Portland Cement, Ltd., recognised the necessity for the adoption of transportation of cement in bulk and were proceeding with plans for the purpose, said the chairman (Mr H. M. Rogerson) at the annual meeting of the company in Auckland yesterday. There was a great deal of preliminary investigation to be made and technical advice to be obtained. Preparation of complete drawings providing for a bulk ship with all its special requirements, and also providing for terminal depots necessarily took a good deal of time. Thereafter, construction itself would probably take at least two years. All these problems were under review, including the very difficult one of the provision of overseas funds, Mr Rogerson said. Shiping in bulk was the only satisfactory' means of maintaining adequate supplies of cement to customers. Humes, Ltd.—Humes, Ltd., advise the issue at par of 44,331 ordinary £1 shares to trustees of the company’s superannuation funds. The shares rank pari passu with existing ordinary shares and make total issued capital of the company £2,500,000.—(P.A.)
