COMMERCIAL Stock Exchange Again Very Quiet
Little business was done again on the Christchurch Stock Exchange yesterday, when only seven parcels of shares changed hands.
A parcel of Woolworths shares changed hands at 18s Id, Id firmer than most recent sales in Christchurch. New Zealand Breweries, cum dividend, lost 3s 6d to trade at 50s.
A parcel of 1000 Cox Brothers was steady in a sale at ss, and New Zealand Forest Products and Tasman were also steady on prices paid in most recent local business. Swan Breweries was in first Christchurch business for the year at 8s 3d.
